On January 24, 2013 at 11:49 am, The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two car accident at the intersection of US Route 30 and Chase Rd, rural Fulton. Larry Tichler (61 years old) ofMorrison was heading east on US Route 30 when a vehicle driven by ChristopherDavis (20 years old) of Clinton, Iowa, proceeded into the intersection causingTichler’s vehicle to hit Davis’ vehicle. Two of the passengers in Davis’ vehicle were transported to Mercy NorthMedical Center in Clinton, Iowa; Dustin Hansen (25 years old) and Curtis Prater(27 years old) both of Clinton. Tichler was also transported to Mercy North.
Davis refused medical attention at the scene along with Kyle Puckett (22 years old)of Camanche, Iowa, who was also a passenger in Davis’ vehicle.
Finally, Davis was cited for Failure to Yieldthe Right of Way, given a Notice to Appear with a Sterling Court date of March1, 2012. Fulton Police, Fulton Fire,Fulton EMS, Medic, and Albany EMS assisted on scene.
Two Subjects Arrested for Burglary
On the morning of January 23, 2013, Whiteside County Deputies investigated a burglary which occurred on January 22, 2013 during the night time hours. The burglary occurred at a rural Sterling business. The two subjects arrested entered into the business without permission and stole several items, which they took to a scrap yard, for cash. The two subjects were Terry G. Gibbs 35 years old of Rock Falls, and 40 year old Steven K. Argraves of Sterling. The duo were charged with Burglary and are being held at Whiteside County Jail.
1-15-13 at 2:24 pm Jacob C. Adolphson, age 33 of Rockford, was stopped on Interstate 88 for a traffic offense at milemarker 38. He was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and released with a Notice to Appear. Illinois State Police assisted on scene.
1-18-13 at 5:37 am In Galt, Karen M. Cochran, age 51 of Milledgeville, was arrested by deputies for DUI – Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cannabis, and Driving While License Suspended. She was processed at the Rock Falls Police Department and released with a Notice to Appear. Rock Falls Police as well as Williams’ Auto Body and Towing assisted.
1-19-13 at 2:49 pm At Avenue B and West 6th Street, Sterling, deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Jimmy Garcia, Junior, age 21 of Rock Falls, and he was arrested for Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Disobeying a Stop Sign. He was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and released with a Notice to Appear. Sterling Police and Slim-n-Hank’s assisted on scene.
1-20-13 at 7:04 am IL Route 40 at the Hennepin Feeder Canal. Cam Lee James Boyer, age 23 of Sterling, was arrested or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and held pending an initial court appearance.
1-20-13 at 5:05 pm Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a (2) vehicle crash on IL Route 78 at Covell Road, rural Morrison. A vehicle driven by Sherri J. Boles, age 18 of Morrison, was westbound on Covell Road when she failed to stop at the posted stop sign. Her vehicle struck a southbound vehicle on IL Route 78 driven by Neil A. Riccio, age 38 of Hampton, IL. Boles and her passenger, Hannah L. Coyle, age 18 of Morrison, along with Riccio were all transported to Mercy Medical Center in Clinton for treatment of their injuries. Boles was cited for Disobeying a Stop Sign. Illinois State Police, Morrison EMS, Morrison Fire, Fulton Fire assisted on scene.
1-30-13 at 4:12 pm Sierra N. Piester, age 18 of Prophetstown, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended in Morrison. She was given a Notice to Appear with a Sterling court date of February 26, 2013 at 9:00 am.
These are merely charges and the subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
