Pamela T. Bush, 59, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at her residence.

Pamela was born January 24, 1954, in Queens, NY; the daughter of Edgar F. and Joan (Klink) Bailey. She graduated from Morris Catholic High School, Denville, NJ, in 1972, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in 1976, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education. She married Rodney D. Bush on November 27, 1976, in Parsippany, NJ. She received her Master Degree from Western Illinois University in 2000, in Education Administration. Pamela’s passion was her family and working with her students, she helped with the Harvest Hammer, she loved downhill and cross country skiing, bicycling, cross country marathons, gardening and playing with her granddaughter. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Morrison, IL, where she served as a religious leader and Eucharistic Minister. Her family would like to thank the Rock River Hospice for the care she received the last five weeks.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Bush, Morrison, IL; a son, Bradley Bush, Morrison, IL; a granddaughter, Katie Jo Bush; 4 sisters, Donna (Jack) Greener, Orland Park, IL, Janese (Chuck) Maranzano, Williamsburg, VA, Sharon (Roger) Cregg, Rochester, MI and Alanna Van Voorhies, Hawthorne, NJ; and 1 brother, Michael (Cindy) Bailey, Barnegat, NJ.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2013, in St. Mary Catholic Church Fellowship Hall, Morrison, IL. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 4, 2013, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Morrison, IL with Revered William Antillon officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Arrangements by McDonald Funeral Home, Fulton.

Ernest William Barnes

Ernest William “Ernie” Barnes, 88, Lanark, IL, died Sunday April 28, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI.

Ernie was born on July 29, 1924 in Sandwich Town, Ontario, Canada to Herbert and Ethel (Richards) Barnes.

He married Eva Jane Ross on April 22, 1944, in Detroit, MI. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Ernie worked for Eaton Corporation and was transferred to Lanark in 1967. He retired in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Jane, of Lanark and children: Bill (Lynn) Barnes of Westland, MI, Curt (Connie) Barnes of Dixon, IL, Bev (Gary) Dyson of Lanark, IL, Keith (Melissa) Barnes of Middleton, WI, Kevin (Amy) Barnes of Lanark, IL, and daughter-in-law Julie Barnes of Wheaton, IL. There are 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother and a sister.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, E.J., daughter-in-law, Barb, 2 granddaughters, a brother and a sister.

Ernie enjoyed woodworking, fishing, scouting, Nascar and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Lanark VFW, & the DAV.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at 10:00 am at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Shannon, with internment following at St. Wendelin Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited at 3:30 and friends may call from 4-7 on Wednesday, May 1st at Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Ernest Barnes memorial funds for the Veterans Memorial in the Lanark Cemetery.

Mary C. Castro Adrian, 85 of Savanna, IL, died Friday April 26th, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Savanna. Burial will take place in Lost Mound Cemetery Hanover, Illinois. A visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. A memorial fund has been established in Mary’s memory.

Harold Francis Dreier

Harold Francis Dreier, 93, of Savanna, died on April 26, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna on Wednesday May 1, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday May 2, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Church in Savanna. Christian burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Savanna
