Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 activities in downtown Lanark included the E-PC Homecoming Parade that featured not only class floats and fire trucks wailing, but also the Lanark-area Cub Scouts (left) and Girl Scouts (right).

Downtown Lanark was buzzing with activity during its Sesquicentennial-year Hometown Days celebration. The Eastland-Pearl City Homecoming Parade - “The Final Showdown” was the theme - attracted hundreds of people that lined Broad St. to watch the Homecoming Court candidates, class floats, sports teams, cheerleaders, and business entries as they drove by throwing candy, Tee Lee popcorn, flying discs, and lots more.

Sidewalk Sales and a Farmers Market were held all day, with the Lanark Chamber of Commerce hosting their annual Tailgate Cookout fundraiser at the Heritage Center.
