The Fulton Chamber of Commerce hosted the Fulton Fall Festival, held on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, October 1 in downtown Fulton and at Heritage Canyon.

Old Time Sawz-All at Heritage Canyon
This display is just one of many re-creations of the 1800’s town, located in Fulton. The town features a blacksmith shop, one-room school house, log cabin, Town Hall, General Store with Ice cream parlor, and more, set in a rustic, wooded area called Heritage Canyon!
(Left) Austin Stage lends a hand to Heritage Canyon volunteer Larry Russel, Mayor of Fulton, during Fulton Fall Fest activities on October 1. The two are sawing out a new bench that will be used to make wooden shoes (at right).
Mrs. Vavra (volunteer Stephanie Vavra of Morrison) speaks with one of her Saturday students in the one-room schoolhouse, Jay Eversoll, a visitor to Heritage Canyon from Comanche, IA.
Early American Crafters, like seamstress Ally Rutledge of Goose Lake, IA, who has been a volunteer since she was 7-years old, are featured along the way. Her whole family became involved when her Grandma first volunteered. Other historical groups take you back in time as they recreate history in the mid-1800’s. The 12-acre wooded structure nature walk at Heritage Canyon is dotted with buildings that take you back in time.
