Morrison Police Reports Weekly Activity*

Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following arrests made and citations issued since Monday, March 12, 2012.

On Saturday, March 10, 2012, Morrison Police investigated a complaint of an “under-age drinking party” at 505 North Base Street, Morrison. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested William L. Helms, age 18 of Morrison, and Evan J. Mahoney, age 19 of Morrison, charging both with Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Helms and Mahoney were transported to the Whiteside County Jail, were processed and then released on Notice to Appears for April 9, 2012. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Morrison Police with this incident.

Hamilton Accused
of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child*

Adam Scott Hamilton of Larimore, North Dakota, formerly of Savanna, IL, was released March 10, 2012, on $10,000 bond from Grand Forks County Correctional Center, pending a pre-trial hearing April 19, 2012. He is accused of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child with a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Adam Hamilton was arrested on December 13, 2011 and was incarcerated until March 10.
