On Sunday, July 17, 2011, the Good Samaritan Society-Mount Carroll Auxiliary will host a “Cake Auction & Tunes Fundraiser” to raise funds to purchase an “It’s Never 2 Late” computer system for residents’ use.

For more than forty years, the Auxiliary has provided support through volunteerism and fundraising efforts for the benefit of the residents living at the center. The Auxiliary meets on the second Monday of each month, at 1:30 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Society-Mount Carroll and new members are welcome to join.

The event will take place at Good Samaritan Society-Mount Carroll,

1006 N. Lowden Road, Mount Carroll and will include an afternoon of special activities. The events include: Worship service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Ziebarth and Clif Jacobs; Music performed by Bob Kevern at 2:30 p.m.; Cake Auction with auctioneer Jim Calhoun at 3:15 p.m.; Sandwich Supper at 4:30 p.m. and Quilt Raffle Drawing at 5:30 p.m.

Delicious cakes will be baked by Auxiliary and staff members and auctioned to raise funds to help purchase a dynamic computer system to keep residents engaged and connected with family, friends and the world.

Guests are invited to a free sandwich supper provided by the center; reservations are requested, please call by July 15.

A quilt raffle is also being held in conjunction with this event and the drawing will take place during the supper hour.
