Benjamin Xavier Gabbard

Benjamin Xavier Gabbard, 8 ½ month old infant son of Matthew & Elizabeth Gabbard, passed on to eternal life June 13, 2010 at 9:45 p.m. at home in his parents arms.

Benjamin was born September 23, 2009 in Bettendorf, Iowa. His life was challenging from birth as he fought a courageous battle with a neurological disorder. His life here, though short, was full of love, courage, and a bigger-than-life attitude. He was truly a special boy in the many lives he touched.

He blessed the lives of his father and mother; brothers, Alexander and Zachary; his sister, Hannah; Grandpas and Grandmas; uncles, aunts, cousins, doctors, nurses, caregivers and friends. Benjamin is preceded in death by his brother, Xavier Gabbard.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, with Father Charles McGuire of St. Hughes Catholic Church, Milwaukee, WI as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.

Perry Scot Schneider, age 46, of Savanna, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Freeport Rehab and Health Care Center, Freeport, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Banquet Hall at 436 North Main Ave., Milledgeville, Illinois. Burial will follow in the Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, prior to the service at the Banquet Hall at 436 North Main Ave, Milledgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Timothy Dylan Fosdick

Timothy Dylan Fosdick, age 18, of Savanna, Illinois died on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 as a result of an ATV accident in rural Sabula, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna with Reverend Mike Wey of the First Presbyterian Church, Savanna officiating. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to help create a living memorial in Dylan’s memory.

Marilynn Kloepping

E. Marilynn Kloepping, age 88, of Lanark, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 14 at the Mt. Carroll Church of God with Pastor Ron Abbott officiating. Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. Memorials may be given in Marilynn’s memory.

Engwerd M. Mommsen

Engwerd M. “Ed” Mommsen, age 82 of Mount Carroll, Illinois, died on Monday, June 7, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Salvation Army.

Georgia J. Katzenberger

Georgia J. Katzenberger, age 99, of Conrad, Montana, previously of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Conrad, Montana. Cremation rites where accorded and a graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll with Reverend Robert Phelps from the Pleasant Valley Church of God officiating.

Lucille R. (Bardell) Rabuck, age 86, of Mount Carroll, Illinois, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Carroll County Good Samaritan Center, Mount Carroll. According to Lucille’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the Frank – Law – Jones Funeral Home in Mount Carroll. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Mount Carroll. Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 16.
