Savanna Couple Exchange VowsGolden Anniversary for Brubakers

Celebrating 50 years of marriage are Barbara Gerdes and James Brubaker.

They were married August 26, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milledgeville.

Jim worked as a service manager for a John Deere Implement store for almost 45 years, and has 48 years on the Milledgeville Fire Department as a volunteer firemen.

Barb spent the first 20 years of their marriage as a happy homemaker, then made a decision 28 years ago to help start a new business Satin ‘N Lace Bridal Shop in Milledgeville .

They are the proud parents of three children: Cindy (Kevin) Brandt of Somonauk, Tammy (Mike) Miller of Lanark, and Todd (Jennifer) Brubaker of Milledgeville.

The most dearest to their hearts are their six grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Dustin (Anna) Wolf, Tyler and Haley Miller, Corey (Ashley) Brubaker, Jason and Tessa Brubaker, and Noah James and Scarlett Rose Wolf.

Their children are hosting an Open House in their honor on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 1 – 4 p.m. at their home 701 N Main Ave., Milledgeville.

All family and friends are invited. Please omit gifts.

Imel-Alexander to Wed

Courtney Imel and Todd Alexander, both of Milledgeville will be getting married on September 1, 2012.

The bride is the daughter of Barry and Ronda Imel and the groom is the son of Linda and Larry Alexander.

Courtney is employed by Pleasant View in Morrison and is also the owner of Courts, Cuts, and Color. Todd is employed by Woessner Farms in Milledgeville.

An outdoor wedding is planned.

Daltyn Scott Starr

Danika and Nicolas Starr of Lanark are the parents of a son born May 11, 2012 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Daltyn Scott Starr weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces at birth and was 21 inches in length. He is welcomed by big brother Kamden Nicolos Starr, 21 months.

Maternal grandparents are Scott and LeAnn Lindstrom of Lanark and paternal grandparents are Steve and Terry Ann Starr of Thomson.

Maternal great-grandparents are Marvin and Rose Lindstrom of Lanark and the late Carroll and Alice Landherr.

Paternal great-grandparents are Terry and Penny Edwards and Ken and Arlene Starr of Thomson.
