Brownfield Ag News Honor Youth During Carroll County Fair
WCCI Radio, WLLT Radio and Brownfield, Ag News for America, presented Kyle Imel of Chadwick and Mary Francque of Dixon with the 2012 Illinois Ag Youth Award on Tuesday, August 7th during the Carroll County Fair at Milledgeville.
“We at Brownfield are firm believers in supporting and recognizing youth in agriculture,” said Brownfield Manager Cyndi Young. “We also understand the important role local radio plays in rural communities. This program offers the opportunity to showcase the relationship between young people in those communities and the radio stations that are a daily part of their lives.”
Brownfield, founded in 1972, includes Brownfield Ag News radio networks and Brownfieldagnews.com. Brownfield has contractual partnerships with more than 340 affiliate radio stations across the Midwest, including 44 affiliated radio stations in Illinois that carry Brownfield radio programming. A team of ten agricultural journalists, all Broadcast Council members of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, along with an Ag meteorologist, Washington D.C. policy analyst and two marketing analysts are solely responsible for the creation of the Brownfield Ag News products.
