Onckens Celebrate 60 Years

years Keith farmed near Milledgeville and currently is employed full-time by the Milledgeville Farmer’s Elevator. Lynn was a homemaker, and for many years taught private piano lessons and served as the organist at Messiah Lutheran Church in Sterling.

Keith E. Oncken and Evelyn (Lynn) Hull were married by Lynn’s father, Arthur Hull, on September 10, 1950.

Keith and Lynn have three daughters, Vicki Sandhu of Elgin, IL; Deborah (Bill) Crowson of Dixon; and Kristy Oncken (Mike Ford) of Schaumburg; four grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Diehl; Jamie (Darci) Diehl; Nicole Diehl, and Alison Diehl; and five great-grandchildren: Haylie, Kilee, Ashley, Blake and Ashtyn.

Engelkens 60th Anniversary

Allan and Wanda (Bushman) Engelkens celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 12, 2010 with their family. They were married by the Rev. Harry L. Brower of the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, Illinois on September 12, 1950. They have farmed in the Coleta area and lived on the home farm their entire married life. Allan and Wanda have five children: Leanne (Alan, deceased) Slager, Lynn (Jay) Woodin, Keith (Jody) Engelkens, Kent Engelkens and Larry Engelkens (deceased), nine grandchildren, Jodi Hicks, Jon Slager, Brett (Jean), Brooke and Brittany Woodin, Kal, Kirk and Keali Engelkens and Justin Engelkens, three great grandchildren, Luke, Login and Genevieve. Their anniversary day began by attending Bethal Reformed Church with their family. The celebration was then moved to the Candlelight Inn for a delicious lunch. The day was completed with cake in the home of their daughter. An enjoyable day will be remembered by all.
