Clarence Eacker, age 68, of Lena, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at the Lena Living Center.
He was born on December 24, 1941 at the Lena Hospital in Lena, the son of Freddie and Helen (Orth) Eacker. He was a graduate of Lanark High School and married Lorena Zahn on Dec. 1, 1963.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Lorena, of Lena, one son, Robin Eacker of Warren, one sister, Sharon (Jerrall) Fox of Lena, one brother, Marv (Patti) Eacker of Thomson, an aunt, Mae Martin of Freeport, his sisters and brothers-in-law:: Betty Lou Calvert, Caroline (Denny) Longnecker, Sue (Gary) Gaul, Amanda (Kenneth) Rekenthaler, David (Sandy) Zahn, and Fred Flickinger, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, grandparents, one sister, Pat Flickinger, and one brother-in-law, Ronnie Calvert.
Services will be on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark . Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home until the time of service. A memorial has been established in his memory.
Otho G. Eller
Otho G. Eller, 84 of Milledgeville, died Friday October 1, 2010 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.
He was born on May 3, 1926 in Vandalia, IL the son of Guilford and Ruby (Weigle) Eller and was a veteran of WW II having served in the USS Navy on the Battleship the USS New Jersey. He married Valda Fossett on May 26, 1951 in Milledgeville. She died November 28, 1997. Mr. Eller was employed at the former Kraft Foods in Milledgeville and later worked with his brother Chuck at Eller Brothers Quarry in Milledgeville and retired from Central Quality in Polo. He was a member of the N.R.A. and loved to hunt, fish and work about in his tool shop at home.
Surviving are two daughter, Becky Kent of Milledgeville and Tammy Schryver of Milledgeville; one sister Nellie Commisso of Sterling; one brother Wayne Eller of Bushnell, FL; four grandchildren: Scot Kent, Erin Nobis, Lindsay Schryver and Carlin Schryver; three great grandchildren: Carson Boyer, Ashton Nobis and Cora Enright.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Charles, Jimmy and Neil Ray Eller.
Graveside services with military rites will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2010 at 10 AM in Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling with the Reverend Rick Koch officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 520 Holcomb Avenue in Milledgeville.

Arlene Irene Hunt, age 72, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois previously of Chicago died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mt. Carroll. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll, with Reverend Robert Ziebarth of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Carroll officiating. Memorials may be given in Arlene’s memory for the Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

Elizabeth M. Gerlach Bondy, age 91, of Savanna, Illinois, formerly of Preston, Iowa, died October 1, 2010, at her residence in Savanna. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Miller - Law - Jones Funeral Home in Preston. A private family interment will take place at the All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois, on Wednesday, October 6. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of Jackson County in Elizabeth’s memory.
