Margaret Tunwall

Margaret Arlene Tunwall, 92, died Wednesday, October 27,2010 at Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna. She was born on November 26,1917 in Chadwick, the eldest of four children to William C. and Clara (Adams) Miller.

Margaret graduated from Lanark High School. She married Leo J. Nowak and later married Jack L. Tunwall. They lived in Rock Island for forty years, enjoying golf, dancing and bridge. More than anything, she enjoyed her grandchildren, Kelly (Rod) Reed of Albany, Charlie (Jen) Ferris of Forreston, Lisa (Scott) Wolfe of Savanna and Chad (Tara) Ferris of Fulton, her great grandchildren, Sydney, Jack, Delaney, Allison Rose, Tyler, Alyssa, Cooper, Ennen and Eli.

She will lovingly be remembered by one daughter, Susan (Cliff) Ferris of Savanna and a brother, Dean Miller of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, a brother, James Miller and a sister, Mary Savage.

The family wishes to thank Big Meadows for their gentle loving care.

Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark.

Mary “Helen” James, age 107, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois died on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Carroll County Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Mount Carroll. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Mount Carroll Church of God with Reverend George Reeser officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the Church.

Arlene J. Wilson-Kish

Arlene J. “Blondie” Wilson-Kish, age 85, of Savanna, Illinois, died, Friday, October 29, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, with Pastor Michael Jones officiating. Burial will be in Savanna Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna.

Charlotte Statham

Charlotte Lorraine Ryder Callahan Statham, age 91, of Hanover, Illinois died Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at the Elizabeth Nursing Home, Elizabeth, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Hanover United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Blomberg officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover.
