We have fond memories of Buck Zier who had the garage on lower Broad Street who fixed cars and towed them from accidents in creative ways. He sent bills only once a year. At the Holidays.

Heckmans Welcome New Son

Chelsey and Craig Heckman from Shannon, IL welcomed a new son, Cavin Eric, born December 9, 2009 at FHN Hospital in Freeport, IL. Cavin joins a brother, Carson, age 5. Grandparents are Steve and Joanne Heckman of Shannon and Jane and Jesse Moll of Lake Carroll. Great grandparents are Carol Martz of Shannon, Ron and Mary Heckman of Freeport, John and Hazel Webermeier of Lake Carroll, Alice Earhart of Maui, HI, Richard Sterkowicz of Lake Carroll and the late Eric Sterkowicz.
